Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care performs various direct patient care activities in a long-term care environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing, undressing, bathing, eating, walking, and other activities. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care provides support and companionship to patients. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care helps patients take medications. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Maintains documents and records related to patient care. Follows all relevant safety guidelines and regulations. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Requires State License. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. MORE ABOUT THE RN REGISTERED NURSE - - Long-term Acute Care (LTAC):- Receive admission and / or transfers to the unit
- Initial and on-going systematic patient assessment
- Timely and accurate documentation
- Interpret assessments / diagnostic data including labs and telemetry
- Promote continuous quality improvement
- Respond to life-saving situations, using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
- Act as a patient advocate while providing education and support to patients and their families
- Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
CREDENTIALS REQUIRED:- Min 1 year of recent Registered Nurse RN experience
- Registered Nurse degree from an accredited institution and active RN license Required
- Current CPR/BLS certification, Physical and TB/PPD Required
- Verifiable work history and professional references Required
