Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home performs various direct patient care activities in a nursing home environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home documents patient interactions as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Requires certified nursing assistant (CNA). Requires applicable state license. Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Cerritos Vista Healthcare Center is a 140-bed skilled nursing facility with private and semi-private rooms available. We specialize services for geriatric population focused on post-hospitalization transitional care. Our goal is to help residents recover and discharge to a lower level of care and back to their home.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Requirements
- Active CNA certification with a successful completion of a CNA program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Compassion towards residents and their families
Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities
- Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse
- Such care includes assistance with the activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings
- Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly
- Other duties as assigned
Pay Scale: $20 to $21
Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
