Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home performs various direct patient care activities in a nursing home environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home documents patient interactions as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Requires certified nursing assistant (CNA). Requires applicable state license. Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Assisting residents with daily activities and needs as directed by Wellness Director.
- Help residents with meals.
- Collect information about conditions and treatment plans.
- Answer resident calls.
- Clean and sanitize resident areas.
- Assist in changing of bed sheets and restocking necessary supplies.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing, nursing supervisor, and other nurses.
Requirements:
- Current, valid IL state certification and in good standing.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of a nursing assistant program.
- Current on the IDPH HCWR Registry
- Ability to perform physical tasks typically performed in CNA work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Valid CPR (recently expired accepted, we will get you recertified)
