Job Summary:

• The ADON must be able to work under the direction of the Director of Nursing to review, plan, interpret, and coordinate Nursing Department policies and standards.
• The ADON reports directly to the DON and provides coverage in their absence.
• The ADON is the facility’s educator and has the ability, the knowledge, and the experience to train, motivate, and develop charge nurses, unit managers, department heads, and other administrative personnel and provides assistance to all subordinates in human resources management. As such, conducts all periodic and annual evaluation of all subordinates, using disciplinary process as required; ensures ongoing development of subordinates’ clinical, administrative, and managerial skills; and identifies and recommends opportunities for professional growth.

• Rotating on-call weekends required.
• Full time: M-F

• Qualifications:

Associate degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.

Registered Professional Nurse with current New Jersey license and IV certification required.

Minimum of three years Nursing Experience and two years of supervisory or management experience required.

Any additional degrees or certifications in a specialty is a PLUS but not required.
