Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home documents patient interactions as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Requires certified nursing assistant (CNA). Requires applicable state license. DESCRIPTION:
Assists nursing personnel in provision of basic and personal care for residents and necessary unit tasks and functions in compliance with The Nurse Connection policies, and procedures, applicable health care standards and New York State Department of Health.
Qualifications:
Currently holds an active CNA certificate
Knowledge of relevant nursing care
Friendly and professional bedside manner
Maintains current CPR certification
Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
Understands legal implications of patient care
