Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home performs various direct patient care activities in a nursing home environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids. Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home documents patient interactions as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Requires certified nursing assistant (CNA). Requires applicable state license. Certified Nursing Assistant - Nursing Home's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. - The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS) is resonsible for the nursing team and quality of patient services in the absense of the Director of Nursing
- The Assistant Director of Nursing supervises, analyzes, delegates and evaluates nursing activities and ensures patient comfort and care
- The Assistant Director of Nursing chairs meetings specific to the nursing strategic plan
- The Assistant Director of Nursing assists with State Federal Survey Preparedness
- The Assistant Director of Nursing works within the focus of quality assurance and performance improvement
- The Assistant Director of Nursing leads the standards of care team with focus on quality measures
- The Assistant Director of Nursing provides bedside care in emergencies
Qualified Applicant will possess:
- Current unemcumbered State of CT Registered Nurse License
- Current CPR, BLS, AED Certification
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong clinical and nursing assessment skills
