Certified Nursing Assistant - Occupational Health performs various direct patient care activities in an occupational or industrial health setting, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs. Being a Certified Nursing Assistant - Occupational Health aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Documents patient interactions as needed. Additionally, Certified Nursing Assistant - Occupational Health requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or manager. Requires certified nursing assistant (CNA). Requires license from state. Certified Nursing Assistant - Occupational Health's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Pay Range:
Days: $18.00-$19.48
Evenings: $19.10-$20.58
Nights: $19.50-$20.98
All evening and night shifts include shift differentials.
The base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. Shift differentials have been included in the range. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity and contracts.
· One year or more experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferable.
· Computer experience preferred.
· Works effectively with others, possess tact, discretion and diplomacy.
· Ability to work under stress and complete duties sometimes with numerous interruptions.
· Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co- workers.
· Assists with tasks to care for our residents.
· Maintains a resident’s room with bed making, tidy up, emptying linen bags.
· Wash resident’s hands and face, assist with nail and hair care, passing trays, passing fluids, entering consumption records, assisting with activities, assisting ambulatory resident who needs queuing.
· Ability to document basic resident observations.
· Must be able to write legibly and be able to accurately document the type of care given.
· Must be familiar with equipment used to move residents, take vital signs and document.
· Ability to understand printed health related material.
· BLS certification preferred. New York State Department of Health Certification or eligible for certification as a Long Term Care Nursing Assistant.
· May need to work beyond scheduled hours when necessary.
· Any other associated duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirement -
High school diploma or equivalent.
Graduated from Certified Nursing Assistant Program.
NYS Certified.
