Prepares adaptive equipment used during treatment and supports patient activities. Being a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant documents therapeutic activities and details of patients progress. Requires an associate degree. Additionally, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant requires NBCOT Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) certification. Typically reports to an occupational therapist. Required Skills:
· Current licensure as a COTA required per state guidelines.
· Current Basic Life Support/CPR card required.
· One year of direct patient care experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
