Certified Respiratory Therapist assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Being a Certified Respiratory Therapist also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment. Requires an associate degree and a credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Additionally, Certified Respiratory Therapist may be expected to maintain a CPR certification. Typically reports to a manager. Certified Respiratory Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. This position is for Centerburg Respiratory and Specialty Rehab-Center located at 212 Fairview Ave, Centerburg, OH 43011
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary function of the Director of Respiratory is to plan, organize, develop and direct the day-to-day functions of the Respiratory Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Director of Respiratory will work alongside the DON, ADON, Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times.
Education & Qualifications:
- Must possess and keep a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
- Preferred, as a minimum, two (2) year of experience in supervisory role in a hospital, nursing care facility of other related health care facility.
