Certified Respiratory Therapist jobs in Saint Louis, MO
Certified Respiratory Therapist assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Being a Certified Respiratory Therapist also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment. Requires an associate degree and a credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Additionally, Certified Respiratory Therapist may be expected to maintain a CPR certification. Typically reports to a manager. Certified Respiratory Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. OSF will invest in you day 1! Candidates with 5 years of direct experience will receive a bonus of 24 hours of Vacation Holiday Time frontloaded on day 1. This is in addition to our generous Time Off Benefits.
Expected pay for this position is $26.46 - $31.13/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
This position also includes an night shift differential of $4.00/hr and a weekend differential of $3.25/hr.
POSITION SUMMARY: A Respiratory Therapist completes clinical actions necessary for accomplishing a plan of care within the Respiratory field as ordered by a physician that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- American Heart BLS Certification
- Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
- Current IL license as Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Therapy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Respiratory Experience
