Certified Respiratory Therapist (ICU)

SITE OF SERVICE: 

• Naval Medical Center San Diego
• Full Time 

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Associates Degree
• Education: Graduate from a program accredited by one of the following below:
  • Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
  • Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
• Certification: Possess certification as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Additional Certifications: Current Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience: Possess 1 year of full-time experience within the last 3 years in a clinical setting of similar size and complexity.
• U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen
• English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

• Sunday through Saturday, one Healthcare Worker (HCW) will be scheduled for six (6) 13 hour shifts and one (1) 8.5 hour shift Sunday through Saturday between the hours of 0600 and 1900 and one HCW between the hours of 1800 and 0700 for six (6) 13 hour shifts and one (1) 8.5 hour shift Sunday through Saturday in the ICU, CCU and the Cardiac Step-Down Unit
