Summary: The person in this role will be filling in both attendant shifts as well as supervisor shifts at different times. Primary role will be shift supervisor. Job duties include accurately and efficiently correct minor machine malfunctions, process fills and jackpots, and enhance the guests' gaming experience to maximize slot handle. Promote a work environment that is pleasant and desirable. Responsible for all slot operations staff that you supervise. Monitor all aspects of staff performance significantly as it impacts interaction with guests and gaming regulatory compliance. Understands the philosophy of the organization as set down by the administrators and works effectively within. Administers department policies and evaluates standards of performance. Maintain clear and open communication within their department as well as with other departments. Act concerning employees, guests, and the general public in a manner consistent with the organization's best interest. 

Qualifications:

• Should have a minimum of one year within the Silver Reef Casino Resort slot department.
• Must have a thorough understanding of the Silver Reef Gaming Commission of slot operation.
• An ability to comprehend, comply and implement Silver Reef Casino Resort slot department regulations, policies and procedures.
• The candidate within this position must retain the ability to maintain effective and helpful working relationships with staff within the slot department and all Silver Reef Casino Resort staff.
• Demonstrate the ability to counsel and develop subordinates in a fair, equal, and favorable work environment.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Excellent cash handling skills.
• An Ability to operate basic office equipment, two-way radio and elementary computer skills.
• Computer experience in Windows 2000, Windows NT to CDS Systems Interface.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Silver Reef Gaming License.

 Licensing Requirements:

• Class III Gaming License 

Essential Job Functions: 

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of casino equipment including; Two-way radio with earpiece and microphone, 10-key adding machine, and jackpot/fill ticket printer.
• Maintain compliance with all aspects of the Silver Reef Casino internal controls.
• Maintain clear and open communications with guests and managers/supervisors.
• Evaluate operating procedures, recommend changes and implement approved changes.
• Be knowledgeable with all aspects of the Silver Reef Casino Players' Club Card and encourage guest participation.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
• Report to work as scheduled and follow the break schedule as posted/notified.
• Respond to and open tilted slot machines to determine if maintenance, slot tech or fill is required.
• Complete the Machine Entry Access Log every time a slot machine is accessed.
• Respond to slot machines with jackpots and determine if the jackpot is valid.
• Calculate jackpots amounts for jackpots not registering on the CDS system.
• Process jackpot and fill tickets manually when the CDS system is not functioning.
• Print jackpot tickets and process with appropriate signatures.
• Obtain customer identification and complete appropriate and relevant tax forms to include:w2G, 1042, 1001 and W9.
• Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Prioritize and organize tasks.
• Follow directions thoroughly.
• Work cohesively with managers, co-workers and subordinates as part of a team.
• Work independently with little to no supervision.
• Oversee the departmental function on the assigned shift.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Be thoroughly knowledgeable about the essential functions of slot machines.

 Physical/Mental Requirements: 

• Must possess the ability to access all areas of the property with some instances in a rapid manner.
• Must be able to speak and write fluently in the English language.
• Requires the ability to maintain physical stamina and a proper mental attitude to work under pressure when dealing with difficult situations and meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods and to bend, reach and kneel frequently.
• Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance, adhering to the Silver Reef Casino appearance standards.
• Requires a normal vision and hearing range.
• Requires manual dexterity to use a personal computer and other office equipment.
• Ability to lift multiple fills, coin bags, cans of coins and carry them to various locations throughout the casino.
• Must be able to manually open and close a slot machine door with multiple latches that turn as the door is lifted to open.
• Regular, predictable attendance required.
• Must have the manual dexterity to handle small hand tools.

Working conditions:

• Work is performed on the casino floor in areas that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky and/or poorly lighted.
