    General Job Summary:

    The Configuration Management Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of CM in a new Digital Engineering Environment (DEE). Provides subject matter advice and guidance on CM best practice methods, standards, and requirements to individuals responsible for lifecycle management.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Maturing and automating digital configuration management tools to achieve reliability and effectiveness
    • Assist system developers and integrators during implementation of new Digital Engineering tools and applications (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
    • Assist with updating digital CM control processes, policies, and procedures
    • Implement and update dashboard Business Intelligence (BI) analytics in accordance with customer requirements
    • Coordinate project configuration, population, merging, build, packaging and archiving in support of development, integration, testing and production release activities
    • Ability to support meetings with customers, employees, and contractors necessary to document engineering changes
    • Identify and address application and data issues that affect configuration integrity
    • Assist with support for incidents/outages when related to configuration applications
    • Provide guidance on methods, procedures, and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation
    • Participate in configuration reviews and audits and support quality assurance process audits
    • Drive continuous improvement and system development processes

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in a Technical related field
    • Prior Configuration Management experience required
    • Must be proficient in MS Suites and have working knoweldge of engineering design tools, (CAMEO, CAD, etc.).
    • Prior knowledge and experience in Digital Engineering Environment, (DEE) and Model-Based Systems Engineering, (MBSE) preferred
    • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance/access approval at the appropriate level
    • Must hold and maintain a valid U.S. Driver License

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • Aerospace and/or defense industry experience a plus.
    • Familiarity with DoD configuration management information data products preferred
    • CM Certified a plus

    WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Primarily office environment: desk, telephone/headset, keyboard/mousing/writing and one-on-one interface with department personnel, (9 hour minimum)
    • Routine sitting and use of computer/telephone/copier equipment, some walking and reaching, active listening and thinking
    • Ability to think analytically and produce accurate analysis and use good judgment to conduct assigned responsibilities accurately and effectively
    • May work extended hours or weekends
    • Office and manufacturing environment with potential exposure to uncontrolled climate conditions and potential exposure to noise, dust and hazardous chemicals
    • Employee may generate, handle, manage, or work around hazardous materials and hazardous wastes
    • Ability to physically handle items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

    • 0-5% - May be required between Kratos locations
