    In this internship you will support the Information Technology department by becoming a planning and tactical resources for activities surrounding change management, communication, analytics, and reporting.

    This internship is offered in conjunction with the Hello Colorado Springs Internship Program. In addition to gaining valuable work experience, interns will explore everything the City of Colorado Springs has to offer by participating in a number of local events.

    Essential Job Functions - the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
    • Conduct analysis and assist in developing a communication management plan that addresses key stakeholder and employee needs
    • Gather requirements and help create and improve both internal and external SharePoint content
    • Create resources to be used by employees that support change efforts to include instructional documentation, instructional videos, and other creative content
    • Strategically draft communication to inform employees of new technology and changes to existing technology or upcoming changes
    • Build reports and analyze data to help measure the adoption of various systems and applications
    • Create and analyze satisfaction and engagement surveys
    • Coordinate organizational change management (OCM) efforts for Office 365, infrastructure, data analytics, and application development projects
    • Create and implement change management strategies and plans to increase user adoption and minimize overall business risk
    We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

    • Manage multiple projects, work under tight deadlines
    • Work in a team environment
    • Be a proactive and engaged member of our team who is willing to learn and be coached
    Additional Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to turn technical information into easily communicated terms
    • Dependable and detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking skills
    • Must be a current undergraduate Junior, Senior, or graduate student at the time of internship
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook 
    • Experience in content management and basic graphic design
    • Knowledge or previous experience with PowerBI or other analytics tools

    The City of Colorado Springs offers additional compensation depending on the position, area of assignment, and specific job assignments, including shift differential, pay differential, acting or lead, special assignment, hazard pay, longevity, cell phone allowance, uniform allowance, relocation, awards, standby, call out, compensatory time off, tuition, overtime, extra duty, incentive, holiday premium, proficiency, and vacation sell back.
