    • Conduct studies pertaining to new or changing space allocation requirements to support organizational goals/objectives.
    • Conduct economic analysis and to advice to recommend proposed space arrangements.
    • Survey and inspect space for conformance with applicable occupancy standards.
    • Conduct space assignment, inspections and space management planning.
    • Maintain space allocation records and ensure accountability and accuracy of space data.
    • Coordinate real property space requirements, assignments and moves with internal/external customers.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Collaborating in developing space requirements (e.g., layouts, design and timetables) to support short/long-range space utilization plans; 2) Performing walk-though inspections of facilities to determine if space is being properly used or used as allocated; and 3) Utilizing automated systems to plan/determine space requirements or to maintain real property records of supported facilities.
    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

    Position may be filled as a Term appointment NTE 3 years. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond 6 six years, but not more than 8 years.

    **NOTE - A current Army employee with personal competitive status accepts a time-limited appointment (such as term or temporary appointment), the Army employee forfeits their permanent status and becomes subject to the provisions of the term or temporary appointment. **

    Permanent employees who accept time-limited appointments will not have placement rights to the previously held permanent position at the end of the time-limited appointment. Employees who accept such time-limited appointment opportunities will be required to sign a statement of understanding.

    Education

    Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
