Everest is seeking an experienced change management professional to partner closely with the businesses and functions who are advancing our Change agenda.
The Change Leader will play a key role in ensuring that organizational projects and initiatives meet objectives, desired business outcomes and benefits by increasing employee awareness, transition, adoption, and usage. This person focuses on the people side of change, which involves preparing, supporting, and equipping people to adopt and use changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, organization structures, and more. Key areas of capability building driving change within Everest are Data and Analytics, Automation and Globalization.
The primary responsibility of the change leader is to develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes. These responsibilities also include plans and efforts to anticipate and minimize resistant behaviors from employees and stakeholders who are impacted by the changes.
The Change Leader’s goal is to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of changes, and proficiency with the changes that impact employees who must use the changes in their daily work. These improvements increase benefit realization, value creation, return on Investment and the achievement of results and outcomes.
The Change Leader supports project managers, project teams and learning and development to integrate change management activities with their project plans and the company’s training curriculum. The change leader will collaborate closely with the Transformation Communication Lead on designing and implementing communications to both targeted audiences and the broader employee population at Everest. The Change Leader also supports leaders of various levels to help them drive change in the organizations and adapt to change themselves. This role reports to the Chief Transformation Officer.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Complete change management assessments, impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders
Conduct effective change impact assessments, readiness assessments and stakeholder analysis
Provide coaching to executives on the support for change
Identify and manage anticipated resistance
Consult and coach project sponsors and teams by using change management methodologies, process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
Identifies and develops training requirements, plans and applicable media per scenario
Integrate change management activities into the project plan
Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
Evaluate and ensure user readiness
Partner on the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications.
Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
Requirements:
A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
Excellent active listening skills
Experience or general understanding of core Property and Casualty operating principles in one or more business or functional segment
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization
Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
Change Management certification or designation (e.g., Prosci) desired
