  • Our Enterprise Technology team is currently seeking a Director, IT Change and Release Management to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA office or in a remote work arrangement.   This is a full time, exempt position. POSITION OVERVIEW:   Reporting to the AVP IT Service Management Operations, this leader will partner with business and technology organizations at the Hanover while leading a cross-functional team.  If you are interested in working in a collaborative, innovative and agile environment, then we want to hear from you.  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional looking for a new challenge.    This individual will lead the Enterprise IT Change and Release Management team.  She/he will be responsible for the management and delivery of IT Change and Release Management processes and practices throughout the organization composed of both Hanover employees, and managed service provider resources.  This role is directly aligned to IT Service Management Operations and the associated processes and practices.   IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Be accountable execute the Enterprise IT Change and Release Management strategy and roadmap for technology services with direction form the AVP, IT SMO. Demonstrates a passion for the IT Change and Release Management and what it means to the individual customer and overall environment. Engages with stakeholders/customers to understand their desired experience and provide a service that meets their needs. Continually evaluate, audit, and make changes as necessary for improving service performance, customer experience and compliance with standards. Promote, champion and drive adoption of the benefits of It Change and Release Management. Develop, oversee, and publish capabilities for IT Change and Release Management procedures with appropriate metrics, dashboards, service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor support team adherence.  Lead continual service improvement and ongoing process maturity through regular reviews of the process and tools trend analysis and metrics reporting through regular engagement with stakeholders. Foster continuous service, delivery optimization, and improvement practices.  Enable innovation and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company’s requirements and expectations.  Analyze industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impacts on the enterprise IT Change and Release Management practices. Cultivate culture of service first and work with consumers of the IT Change and Release Management practices to adapt to this approach. Provide leadership to team, for the purpose of delivering services and meeting designated analysis, operational or development objectives.   WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is required. Minimum of 10 years of IT Change and Release Management relevant work experience. Minimum of 5 years of people-leadership required. Capability to take complex Asset Management concepts and present the ideas (and benefits) to non-technical management in an impactful qualitative and quantitative way. Extensive knowledge of ITIL, Change and Release Management best practices, and the ServiceNow platform, including ITSM. Knowledge of IT Systems, programs, infrastructure, networking, applications and their relationships is a must-have. Ability to effectively communicate with many levels of management throughout the infrastructure, security, risk management, applicaiton and business organizations. Strong relationship skills – Ability to effectively collaborate with business & IT partners and to foster strong relationships with them to aid successful project delivery Strong communication (written and verbal) skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that deliver complete and accurate requirements Prior Property and Casualty experience a plus but not required.
