Position: Sales Director

As an organized and savvy Sales Director, you are, well, SOCIAL. You are a Blast Off Bay Director, a member of the Genesis Health Club family of brands. You relish the opportunity to help conceptualize, coordinate, promote, operate and attend events while also managing the process and interacting with members & guests on a personal level. You know how to prospect, sell and motivate clients while possessing an insatiable passion for people and building community within our waterpark. You’re a natural promoter who uses manual outreach, social media, database management and PR to get the word out and get people excited about events. You’re passionate about Blast Off Bay and can’t wait to spread the word like wildfire.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Working with the Sales team and park staff to develop and implement an exciting, engaging daily event calendar
•Designing, staffing, and implementing events including group sales, corporate sales, special events, birthday parties, season passholder appreciation events and more
•Attending community events, interacting with clients and the community and sharing the mission of Blast Off Bay to bring family fun and fond memories to every one of our guests.
• Developing relationships and contacts in the community to partner with organizations on internal and external events
• Communicating across departments and Goddard attractions to ensure proper preparation, staffing, and implementation of events
• Understanding of current social media and digital platforms to promote events
• Utilization of Microsoft Office Suite and ability and to use other platforms as needed
• Plan and implement multi-faceted events
• Evaluate ROI of events to maximize time and resources
*Prepare a P/L for each event capturing all revenue and costs
• Basic photography and videography to create content for posts
Job Requirements:
• 2 years of event planning experience preferred
• BA in Hospitality, Communications, Public Relations or a related field preferred
• Outgoing personality with a love of people and making memories
• Basic knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms and their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
• Excellent writing, language, and communication skills
• A team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary
• Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly
• Strong customer service abilities
• Availability to work weekends and evenings required
• Basic photography and videography skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain nimble as priorities and opportunities constantly change
• Strong work ethic and can-do attitude
