This position will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
They develop processes that will maximize safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Leading and directing the plant safety program, and ensure that all managers and employees support and participate in ongoing safety efforts.
Ø Maintaining adequate controls over production, quality, and inventories so that products are manufactured at the lowest cost consistent with established budgets and forecasts.
Ø Seeking to continuously lower production costs by setting production standards and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and cost savings programs
Ø Participating in the development of new and improved products at the assigned plant(s)
Ø Staying abreast of innovations and trends in manufacturing for application at the plant(s); recommending changes, from a manufacturing standpoint, to products, services, policies, and procedures as appropriate
Ø Performing additional job-related duties and complete special projects as assigned
Ø Planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations.
Ø Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
Ø Allocating resources effectively and fully utilizing assets to produce optimal results.
Ø Implementing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
Ø Monitoring operations and trigger corrective actions
Ø Sharing a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
Ø Collecting and analyzing data to find places of waste or overtime.
Ø Developing systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
Ø Ensuring good housekeeping in all areas of the facility including manufacturing, distribution, and office areas
Ø Meeting or exceeding all performance and productivity standards.
Ø Promoting a safe and healthy work environment on all company property to achieve the best working conditions for all employees and visitors.
Ø Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v BS degree in Business Management, or related field, with proven 3 years Plant Manager experience
v Lean Six Sigma principles.
v P & L Experience
v Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
v Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
v Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and employee engagement processes
v Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
v The ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
v Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
v The ability to manage multiple tasks and provide expected results.
