Position Summary
The Hill School seeks a full-time Associate Chaplain with a start date of August 2024. The primary responsibilities of this professional will be to love and serve the people of The Hill, nourishing and strengthening them for this life and the life to come. The ideal candidate will be familiar with a wide variety of religious and philosophical teachings and traditions as part of being comfortable teaching three sections in the Department of Religious Studies and Philosophy.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Ideally, a candidate will possess at least 3 years of relevant experience. This individual will assist the Firestone Endowment Chaplain in providing pastoral care and spiritual leadership to the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of The Hill community, and in supervising the School's spiritual life programs. The Associate Chaplain will also be expected to undertake responsibilities that are normally associated with a boarding school, such as serving on various school committees and participating in the school's co-curricular and residential programs. Experience and demonstrated success working with diverse student communities is preferred, but not required. A bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Must be ordained or in the process toward ordination. Start date for this position is August 2024.
