Being a Chaplain - Home Care provides emotional support, spiritual counsel and comfort. Plans and coordinates interfaith worship experiences for staff, patients, and families. Additionally, Chaplain - Home Care typically requires a master's degree in divinity. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care for individuals in a residential setting
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, cleaning, and personal hygiene
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in home care, direct support, or social work preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to lift and assist with transfers as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High level of compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with diverse needs
