    First Security Bank & Trust is looking for a skilled Public Relations & Marketing Specialist to enhance our presence both online and offline, ensure consistent messaging, and promote our banking services. As a Public Relations Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing and public relations strategies, driving customer engagement, and reinforcing our brand identity.

    POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate and produce effective marketing and communication in alignment with bank-wide goals. Provide a broad range of administrative support to the Marketing Manager.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop a thorough knowledge of all bank products and services.
    • Create compelling content using both traditional and emerging technologies that showcase First Security’s core values, community involvement, and products.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to identify stories and seek opportunities to position bank executives as thought leaders.
    • Coordinate sharing of content publicly as part of the marketing department’s advertising objectives. Develop and share content internally to improve bank culture and employee knowledge of the bank, its products, and its services.
    • Assist with special promotions which may include setting up lobby displays, planning open houses, organizing for parades, and any other special event as needed.
    • Monitor media coverage and public perception of First Security as well as other financial organizations.
    • Maintain an understanding of and ability to update company collateral, email blasts, and other communications.
    • Ensure compliance with all bank advertising regulations.
    • Participate in bank-sponsored events as outlined in financial institution’s “Community Events Program”.
    • Perform additional duties as they become assigned or apparent.

    DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

    • Proficient skill level in Adobe Creative Cloud. Video shooting and editing skills preferable.
    • Comfort with public speaking
    • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure on an ongoing basis.
    • Outstanding customer service skills. Demonstrated ability and willingness to work cooperatively with bank staff at all levels of the organization, as well as with vendors and the public.
    • Valid driver’s License
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:  AA Degree

    Experience: Two years recent, professional, experience in marketing, communications, journalism, advertising, graphic design or related field.
