As a Cloud and Platform Engineering Chapter Leader, you will blend deep Software Engineering knowledge with a passion of coaching, mentoring and developing associates. You will directly manage a team of engineers who work with the Database Platforms product area.

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring 

    • Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing teams of 10 people in an agile organization. 
    • Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to create a psychologically safe space for associates. 
    • Proven knowledge and experience of engineering principles, patterns and practices and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement 
    • Strong technical proficiency with data technologies including relational and non-relational databases. 
    • Builds strong partnerships with squad leaders and platform leaders to enable open discussion on how to improve our engineering maturity of our platforms. 
    • Drives change across our platforms, advocating for the right outcomes for our customers while actively influencing how we build, operate and do things within their squad and Chapter. 
    • Actively sharing insights, knowledge, industry practices and developments across the organization 
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with which you build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization. 
    • Experience identifying and acquiring talent needs, resource planning and talent allocation across large organizations. 

    Bonus Skills 

    • Certification in public cloud (AWS or Azure)

    Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
