South Bay Gastroenterology Medical Group is the oldest and most prestigious gastroenterology practice in the South Bay region of Los Angeles. Our teams of physicians are skilled at treating all aspects of digestive disorders and liver disease utilizing the most sophisticated and technically advanced methods. Our physicians are from some of the finest training programs in the country and are committed to providing our patients with excellent compassionate care. The practice is affiliated with the Endoscopy Center of the South Bay, the first state licensed free standing endoscopy center in California. Our state of the art facility is approved and certified by both Medicare and the State of California as an ambulatory surgery center (ASC).

We are currently searching for a FT Charge Nurse to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks.  Major responsibilities include:

coordinating and directing activities of the center according to accepted standards, working collaboratively with Center Leader to oversee the supervision and direction of nursing care and patient scheduling. The Charge Nurse is responsible for effectively presenting information, respond to questions, and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors, general public and physicians. 

You must possess:

• Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university (Master’s degree preferred)
• At least five (5) years of healthcare-management experience
• At least one (1) year experience in an ASC
• CPR certification and ACLS certification (as required by Center)
• Evidence of leadership qualities
• Strong ethical and moral character references
• Language skills adequate for high-level written, interpersonal, and telephone communication in American English (if Center requires bilingual, this section can be modified)
• Computer literacy
