Charge Nurse plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Being a Charge Nurse assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Additionally, Charge Nurse requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Charge Nurse supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Charge Nurse typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Nurse (RN / LPN) is needed for our Assisted Living Facility at Washington Odd Fellows Home. Our ALF has 102 apartments, within a senior community of nearly 230 residents. Visit our current COVID page for updates about our infection prevention accomplishments.

    This is a full-time relief position, 12-hour shifts of 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., 36-48 hours per week, with every other full weekend scheduled off. Example of possible Rotation is:

    • Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (36 hours)
    • Week 2 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (48 hours)

    RN wage range is $36.00-$37.00 per hour. LPN wage range is $31.00-$34.00 per hour.

    • Our nurses work closely with our residents and NAC staff
    • Will run the diabetic clinic before meals
    • Must appreciate, and be capable of, working as an integrative team member
    • Reports to Director of Assisted Living, and is supervised / supported by Resident Care Manager
    • Independent and critical thinking is required for success in this role
    • Assisted Living NAC/CNA staff are trained and certified for medication pass
