Chauffeur, Sr. jobs in Portland, ME

Tired of sitting behind a desk, or looking for extra hours to supplement your income or retirement? We accept applications on an ongoing basis for part-time professional drivers. This is an on-call business and you must be willing and able to work on short notice. We are ideally looking for individuals who have a CDL with passenger endorsement (although one is not required) and can be available early mornings or late evenings. Due to the seasonality of our industry, our chauffeurs have the potential to work full-time hours for much of the year with lesser hours January to April.

Chauffeur experience is not required. We are looking for service focused individuals who can deliver the superior level of customer service our clients demand. Experience in the hospitality or tourism industry would translate well into this position. Thorough training is provided on all vehicle types, as well as professional driving skills, procedures and regulations at airports/train/bus stations, and specialty service such as weddings.

Compensation is $10.50/hour, plus gratuity, which is at the discretion of the passenger and based upon the service provided. Generally, chauffeurs average between $18-22/hour.

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a physical for a DOT Medical Card, TSA background check for access to Logan airport in Boston, must have a clean driving record and be familiar with the Portland area. Familiarity with the metropolitan Boston area is also desired. Must have a black suit, white shirt, black tie and black shoes. Must have a cell phone, GPS, and e-mail address for communication. Preference will be given to those applicants that have a CDL with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain one. Applicants will need to provide a copy of their driving record for review.
