Check Collections Manager manages and leads a group of check collection staff. Oversees the operation of the check proof, transit, and other transactions. Being a Check Collections Manager plans and implements collection policy and procedures to ensure recovery of fraudulent checks. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Check Collections Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Check Collections Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Check Collections Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Adhere to provisions as set forth in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act
- Provide professional, courteous and efficient customer service over the phone
- Monitor and contact customers with delinquent and overdraw accounts to achieve solution to bring the account current
- Conduct research and implement solutions on accounts
Basic Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two-years banking experience preferred
- Proficient in filing, data entry and research
- High school level accounting and basic understanding of bank accounting transactions
- Intermediate proficiency using Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
- Bilingual preferred
Hours:
- Monday-Friday: 8:00-5:00
