Responsibilities

• Answering busy phone system
• Gathering patient demographic and insurance information and inputting data into the EMR system
• Scheduling appointments.
• Insurance verification for complicated benefits and various carriers using websites & telephone
• Check in and check out patients for office visits and services
• Referral and authorizations for in house appointments and services
• Following up with daily voicemails, faxes & messages

Requirements

• Knowledge of various insurance carriers and how to obtain in depth benefit information
• Knowledge of office equipment (computer, copy, fax, printer, scanner) and EMR software
• Loves patient interaction and believes in compassionate care
• Team player who communicates effectively with co-workers and providers
• Enjoys in-office and over-the-phone positive customer service
• Detail oriented and accuracy obsessed
• High School Diploma or GED
• Spanish speaking is REQUIRED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
