The role you’ll contribute:
The Manager Sterile Processing/OR Materials is responsible for the personnel, financial and operational activities for the Sterile Processing Department. Responsible for the educational and orientation needs of the Sterile Processing Department. Collaborates with Surgery leadership and staff to ensure instrumentation needs are met daily. Acts as a liaison between Central Services and other hospital departments to ensure availability of instrumentation and equipment as needed for patient care on inpatient units. Completes interviews, staff evaluations, and manages the disciplinary process for staff. Ensures staffing patterns and monthly schedules meet department needs and are in line with labor tracking standards. Responsible for productivity and financial performance, performance improvement activities in the department, development of action plans, and follow-up; participates in system wide committees related to sterilization, decontamination, and disinfection; and is knowledgeable about regulatory standards and national society standards related to sterile processing. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
