Chemical Dependency Counselor jobs in Bergenfield, NJ

We are a chemical plant looking to direct hire experienced Production Operators on fulltime basis, to work in our production department to manufacture batch chemicals. All our batch processes are controlled using the PLC.

The ideal candidate will be capable of operating production machinery and creating a range of products for our customers. We are looking for a person with excellent communication skills, knowledge of quality control processes, and a reasonable understanding of safe handling of chemicals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner and in accordance with cGMP.
• Safely operate and monitor chemical process equipment in area of responsibility.
• Maintain batch sheets, spreadsheets, control charts, and other documentation.
• Monitor process using GUI.
• Provide clear communication at shift change.
• Assist co-workers as needed and as directed by Shift lead/supervisor
• Material movements (drums, forklift, etc.)
• Coordinate activities with maintenance, including preparing equipment for repairs.
• Follow production, safety and quality procedures to verify and record information.
• Understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling and product testing.
• Troubleshoot process & equipment problems, automation program, and support the teams.
• Recognize problems and unusual events and communicate to Shift Leader.
• Proactively recommend changes to Batch Sheets and SOPs.
• Ensure understanding of all safety, quality, housekeeping, and operational procedures, in order to utilize tools, equipment, electronic/computer systems.
• Ensure safe operation of forklift, drum handling equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned.
