    Loaders are responsible for loading tank trucks, railcars, and containers with liquids, powders, and pellets as well as keeping records and completing paperwork.

    AMVAC's manufacturing plant is located in Axis, Alabama, and operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities


    • Operate Forklifts, Track Mobile and Yard tractor
    • Work with all of the plant unloading and loading systems including piping, pumps, and load meters
    • Load tank trucks, ISO containers, and railcars
    • Assist with drumming procedures
    • Accurately complete all paperwork, bills of lading, and manifests
    • Troubleshoot unexpected unloading and loading events
    • Working knowledge of how the carriers are contacted
    • Work with operations and supervision to keep tank levels sufficient to keep the plants running with no downtime
    • Comply and ensure compliance with all regulatory safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements
    • Comply and ensure compliance with all company policies, practices, and lawful directives
    • Perform other assignments as required and directed by management
    Skills & Qualifications


    • 1 years of loading & unloading experience loading trucks, tanks, and railcars
    • Previous experience loading & unloading hazardous chemicals preferred
    • Ability to work with various chemicals and hazardous materials safely
    • Work various shifts, including weekends & on call
    • Meet the physical needs of the job including climbing stairs, wearing respiratory protection, and safely lifting at least 75 lbs
    • Excellent communication and listening skills
    • Basic math calculations and ability to complete paperwork legibly
    • Become knowledgeable of all plant chemical products, raw materials, and wastes for safe handling
    • Must be able to pass training for forklift, yard dog, and track mobile
    • Become D.O.T. certified
    • Able to work as a team member as well as independently
    • Be prompt, dependable, and have a good attendance record
    • Participate in the respiratory program which includes being clean-shaven and wearing a respirator when safety needs dictate
    • Random drug tests & safety monthly blood draw program required
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and physical
    Education Requirements


    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • AIDT Training strongly preferred
