Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) of Co-occurring Psychiatric and Substance Use Disorder (COPSD) .The LCDC is responsible for providing services and supports to individuals with co-occurring needs to assist the individual in reaching their vision of recovery. The LCDC will assess the individual’s strength and needs and in collaboration with the individual develop a person-centered recovery plan. Services are targeted to deter the need for crisis that result in emergency placement in Medical or Behavioral Health Facilities or in the Court and Jail system. The LCDC is responsible for scheduling and carrying out individual and group services and case management. LCDC may also provide services as an Outpatient Counselor under the guidelines described in the DSHS/HHSC Program Requirements.
