Chemical Dependency Director directs chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment and recovery programs. Leads, supports, and develops care team members. Being a Chemical Dependency Director oversees services from intake through discharge for continuity and quality of client care. Prioritizes client safety and directs crisis management. Additionally, Chemical Dependency Director develops and administers approved standards and guidelines, ensures all licensing and accreditation requirements are maintained. Establishes and administers recordkeeping and reporting processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Typically reports to a director. The Chemical Dependency Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. - Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients struggling with chemical dependency

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate treatment outcomes and make necessary adjustments

- Valid certification or licensure as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (CDC)
- Experience in mental health counseling and working with individuals with substance abuse issues
- Knowledge of child and family counseling techniques
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
- Strong crisis management skills to handle emergency situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professional boundaries
- Experience facilitating group therapy sessions
