Position: Materials Handler (I)

Hours: 8 am to 4 pm
Reports to: Plant Supervisor
Target Start Date: TBD

Job Overview: The Materials Handler loads and unloads railcars, tank trucks and truck vans of raw materials and chemical products. In addition, the Materials Handler packages and labels finished products.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years’ experience in manufacturing or warehousing, preferably chemical production
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Perform math exercises and follow written directions
• Operate a forklift
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Pass Company physical and drug screen

Responsibilities (not intended to be a complete list):

• Understand, adhere, and follow all EH&S and core value policies of BCS
• Participate in monthly safety meetings
• Wear appropriate personal protection equipment
• Check Certificate of Analysis of incoming raw materials against raw material specifications
• Unload railcars, tank trucks and truck vans of raw materials into storage tanks or warehouse
• Transfer finished products to railcar or tank truck and packaged products to truck van
• Package and label finished products in tote, drum or pail as per customer order
• Complete monthly materials inventory checklist
• Support Quality Management System
• Assist with minor mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance items
• Perform other duties as instructed by Production and Maintenance Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
