Chemical Dependency Director directs chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment and recovery programs. Leads, supports, and develops care team members. Being a Chemical Dependency Director oversees services from intake through discharge for continuity and quality of client care. Prioritizes client safety and directs crisis management. Additionally, Chemical Dependency Director develops and administers approved standards and guidelines, ensures all licensing and accreditation requirements are maintained. Establishes and administers recordkeeping and reporting processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Typically reports to a director. The Chemical Dependency Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chemical Dependency Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Pay Rate:$23.00 per hour

    Operate, monitor, and maintain chemical plant.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:


    • Responsible for complying with all environmental regulations including hazardous waste
    • Ensure hazardous waste containers are properly labeled, covered, and staged
    • Using information on work order and batch sheets, collects all required materials and measures or weighs as required for proper formulation
    • Work from written, verbal or visual instructions
    • Load chemical process equipment with necessary materials
    • Observe rate of speed and process to insure proper operation
    • Observe and follow all safety related procedures while in the work environment
    • Gather raw materials
    • Check completed batches for compliance with formulation specifications
    • Make minor mechanical adjustments or assess malfunctions and notify supervisor
    • Observe and follow all safety related procedures while in the work environment
    • Provides guidance and checks task completion of entry level operators to ensure they were properly done
    • Drive a fork lift
    • Other duties as assigned

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Ability to speak, read, and write in English and perform basic math, plus an ability to communicate well with others. Requires mechanical skills, and preferably previous work experience with industrial chemical operations.
