Chemical Dependency Director directs chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment and recovery programs. Leads, supports, and develops care team members. Being a Chemical Dependency Director oversees services from intake through discharge for continuity and quality of client care. Prioritizes client safety and directs crisis management. Additionally, Chemical Dependency Director develops and administers approved standards and guidelines, ensures all licensing and accreditation requirements are maintained. Establishes and administers recordkeeping and reporting processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Typically reports to a director. The Chemical Dependency Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chemical Dependency Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are currently seeking a Counselor for our Recovery Center.  The Chemical Dependency Counselor will treat patients of all age groups and create individualized care plans and ensure case records and billing information are completed.  The Counselor will work closely with all levels of hospital caregivers, physicians, chemically dependent patients and their families.  Working in an independent manner, the counselor is responsible for the clinical care and management of all patients assigned to his/her caseload.

    As a professional clinician, this position necessitates flexible work hours, which will optimize service to the client. Knowledge about developmental needs over the age spans along with a Master's level LCPC or LCSW is required.
