Chemical Dependency Director directs chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment and recovery programs. Leads, supports, and develops care team members. Being a Chemical Dependency Director oversees services from intake through discharge for continuity and quality of client care. Prioritizes client safety and directs crisis management. Additionally, Chemical Dependency Director develops and administers approved standards and guidelines, ensures all licensing and accreditation requirements are maintained. Establishes and administers recordkeeping and reporting processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Typically reports to a director. The Chemical Dependency Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chemical Dependency Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Duties & Responsibilities

    In this role, you will report directly to the VP of R&D working with other scientists to make a lasting, positive impact on our ecosystem for the health and well-being of people and animals.

    • Support insecticide, herbicide, repellency, and other non-agricultural development projects
    • Prepare and improve formulations used in efficacy screening based on test results
    • Collect and summarize data and deliver results as oral or written reports as required
    • Assist in the maintenance, method development, and rearing of select insect species
    • Perform other duties as assigned by HR and Plant personnel when needed

    Skills & Qualifications

    • 1 year of laboratory experience including chromatography (GC, GC-MS)
    • Basic laboratory skills including the ability to accurately weigh, measure, and follow mixing instructions
    • Basic understanding of different statistical methods to analyze data
    • High affinity for biological and chemical sciences
    • Ability and motivation to learn new techniques
    • Willingness and ability to work with a wide variety of insects and plants
    • Self-motivated to take projects through to successful products
    • Familiarity with the metric system and dilutions is required
    • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required
    • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills; High attention to detail
    • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check

    Education Requirements

    • B.S. / Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field (with laboratory experience)
