Chemical Dependency Director directs chemical dependency and substance abuse treatment and recovery programs. Leads, supports, and develops care team members. Being a Chemical Dependency Director oversees services from intake through discharge for continuity and quality of client care. Prioritizes client safety and directs crisis management. Additionally, Chemical Dependency Director develops and administers approved standards and guidelines, ensures all licensing and accreditation requirements are maintained. Establishes and administers recordkeeping and reporting processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). Typically reports to a director. The Chemical Dependency Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Southeastern Directions for Life is currently accepting applications for a Chemical Dependency Therapist.
This Therapist will be a member of a multidisciplinary team and have the responsibility to provide counseling to assigned caseload; with a strong emphasis on Mental Health and Initial Integrated Assessments. While providing individual, group and family therapy, participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning by developing a comprehensive psychosocial assessment and crisis intervention consultation. Complete necessary documentation. Provide public or educational presentations as needed.
Hours for this position are Full Time, Monday-Friday.
Salary per year based on education and experience; 10 paid holidays and excellent benefit packages.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in a helping profession and a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) or an Addiction Counselor in Training (ACT) working toward an LAC. Must have a current driver’s license, car insurance and a driving record acceptable to Southeastern’ insurance provider. Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
