Chemical Engineer conducts research and development projects involving the study of chemical reactions and material properties to innovate and develop new products or optimize existing products. Designs experiments and builds prototypes and models used to investigate and support the development of improved chemicals, materials, products, and manufacturing processes. Being a Chemical Engineer compiles and analyzes testing data. Presents research results used to estimate costs, establish performance standards, identify solutions, and facilitate processes. Additionally, Chemical Engineer maintains lab and plant safety procedures for chemical storage, handling, transport, and disposal. Complies with all safety and environmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Chemical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Duties and Responsibilities - Opportunities to work hands-on at airports, industrial manufacturing, and service stations. Will be using pipe threading equipment, skidsteers, concrete tools and equipment, welder, acetylene torch, air compressor, jack hammer, and small tools. Skills may include: Welding skills helpful (MIG, TIG, stick.) Fabrication. Drawing Interpretation. Systems Schematics. Pipe Fitter. Software manipulation. Electronic service.
Minimum Requirements of Employees - High school diploma/GED, Class D - Regular (Auto, Light truck, Moped) License, 18 years or older, and basic construction background - we will train further. Must have a clean driving record for 3 years or more, be able to drive a manual (standard) transmission vehicle, and have a valid and unrestricted driver's license. In the future, a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle license may be required (if not already obtained.)
