The Process Engineer provides technical expertise to ensure the operation produces product that meets all quality, cost, and efficiency requirements to a 24/7 manufacturing facility. This role will identify ways to improve safety, quality, yields, and the capability of existing processes while also assisting in the scale up and implementation of developmental products/processes. Core challenges include leading continuous process improvement to drive Key Performance Indicators for the operation, to meet goals established by the business along with providing technical guidance to the operations team, and to assist with process troubleshooting along with developing corrective action plans.
Key Responsibilities
·Support in all aspects of production in the assigned area including but not limited to removal of production limitations, equipment troubleshooting, safety and quality improvements, waste reduction, continuous improvement, etc.
·Lead safety, quality, and productivity initiatives
·Maintain and develop SOPs, ECPs, SPLs, forms, checklist, etc.
·Participate in PHAs that execute on recommendations to eliminate process safety hazards
·Become the subject matter expert of the assigned area to provide guidance for Maintenance, Technical, and Capital department members
·Perform root cause analysis on near misses, NSNC, incidents, and production targets and identify and implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement
·Identify process KPIs and work independently or on a team to reduce process variability and waste through process unit operations optimization
·Work closely with other Technical and Maintenance engineers to develop and implement innovative engineering solutions to improve OEE
·Utilize MOC process to manage changes
