Qualifications:
Two or more years of previous experience blending chemicals in the production chemical industry is preferred. A valid forklift certification and high school diploma or GED is required. This position requires the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and terrains (90% of working time). Daily physical demands of this position include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, bending, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing, and talking.
All candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as excellent problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills. They must also be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, product recipes, material identification, etc. They must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and the ability to perform these operations using weight and volume measurements. Beginner proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point) is a must. All candidates must be self-starters, who need little direction to complete tasks.
