Chemical Engineer conducts research and development projects involving the study of chemical reactions and material properties to innovate and develop new products or optimize existing products. Designs experiments and builds prototypes and models used to investigate and support the development of improved chemicals, materials, products, and manufacturing processes. Being a Chemical Engineer compiles and analyzes testing data. Presents research results used to estimate costs, establish performance standards, identify solutions, and facilitate processes. Additionally, Chemical Engineer maintains lab and plant safety procedures for chemical storage, handling, transport, and disposal. Complies with all safety and environmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Chemical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Transport Drivers play a critical role in the continued success of Colonial by safety and effectively delivering petroleum, lubricant, and chemical products to our customers.
JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES- Delivers fuel, lubricant, and chemical products to and from specified destinations.
- Maintains equipment in clean, organized, and safe working condition.
- Maintains drivers logs in accordance with state and federal guidelines as well as compliance with DOT regulations.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies.
- Performs pre-trip, post-trip, and in-transit inspections.
- Inspects inventory to ensure proper delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements are required.
- 2 years of professional driving experience is required.
- Basic computer skills inclusive of understanding and utilizing electronic logs, employee time reporting, and utilization of e-mail are required.
