Chemist

Asahi Refining USA, Inc. has a full-time Chemist position available. The chemist position is responsible for conducting all procedures related to the operation of all analytical instrumentation.

This position has the following responsibilities:

· Prepares metal and water samples for instrumental analysis.

· Conducts routine inorganic instrumental analysis.

· Recognizes the need for improvement or development of instrumental analysis procedures of samples received.

· Prepare instrumentation standards and monitor analytical QC.

· Provide written and verbal reports as required.

· Help maintain control of the Laboratory chemical inventory to verify proper storage and labelling.

Qualifications for this position are:

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferred. Physics, Earth Science, Select Life Sciences or Selective Engineering degrees will be considered.

· One-year industrial lab experience, or one-year college chemistry curriculum.

· Good verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach.

· Ability to work in a team environment in close quarters and support the efforts of the team.
