Under very limited supervision, manages and directs all Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) functions. Reviews work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy. Manages the airport safety and training program for all Airport properties. Manages and monitors the Airport Emergency Plan and ARFF-related FAR Part 139 records’ compliance at Myrtle Beach International Airport. Heads incident command, acting as incident commander as needed. Manages and directs the Airport Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Plans and conducts training for airport staff, including tenants. Develops and maintains open working relationships with mutual aid agencies as well as direct working relationship with County Emergency Management department. Oversees/manages ARFF department budget, in coordination with airport Finance department. Reports to the Assistant Director of Airports.
