      The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center has an anticipated vacancy for a Part-Time 12-Month Adult Education Academic Coach located at the Willow Street campus.

      JOB SUMMARY


      Perkins Responsibilities 100%

      Tutor:

      Responsible for serving as an advocate for the full time adult students enrolled in Adult Education Programs and tutor students for success in academic coursework. This will include keeping logs of students’ progress and initiating individual and group tutoring. Communication with instructors, and developing and implementing schedules are necessary for student success.


      ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/SKILLS/FUNCTIONS


      Perkins Responsibilities 100%

      1.Student Tutoring:

      • Provide academic support activities such as study groups, tutoring, and workshops on study skills.
      • Tutor adult students in study and test taking skills, academic coursework.
      • Subscribe to all FERPA guidelines in dealing with student records and information.
      • Orient full time adult students to support services.
      • Teach computer use, internet research, and other internet-based platforms used within the program to adult students.

      2. . Perform other Perkins- grant allowable duties as required


      POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS


      EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


      • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, oral and written communication and customer service skills.
      • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Student Information System, Google Docs, etc.
      • Excellent proofreading, typing skills, organizational skills, the ability to operate office equipment.
      • Other duties as assigned


      EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


      • Successful Post Secondary Education required
      • Excellent computer skills
      • Excellent interpersonal and teaching/training skills
      • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
      • Valid Driver’s License


      HOURS

      10 - 15 per week

      Salary: $21.18 - $25.41, based on experience and education
