    Position Summary:
    We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Marketing & Communications Manager - Chief Scientific Officer & Chief Academic Officer.

    In this role, the successful candidate is an accomplished and organized Marketing & Communications Program Manager Communications Specialist to contribute to the communications efforts for the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) & Chief Academic Officer (CAO). This role will partner with the Communications & Relationship Lead to work with NYULHs CSO and CAO, shaping communications initiatives that advance their strategy, engage stakeholders, and align with NYULHs institutional goals.
    Reporting directly to the Communications & Relationship Lead for the CSO and CAO, this position is part of the Enterprise Communications team within the Communications & Marketing (C&M) department. This position will play a critical role in shaping the Enterprise Communications strategy for NYULH while advancing the mission and objectives of the CSO and CAO.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Strategic Communications:

        • Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy that supports the goals and initiatives of the CSO and CAO
        • Play a vital role in triaging and executing requests from CSO and CAO, partnering with teams in Brand, Experience, Creative, & Design COE, Content Strategy & Development COE, Media Relations COE, Program Measurement & Business Operations Platform, and Enterprise Communications COE as needed
        • Evaluate the reception of all institutional communications coming from the CSO and CAO, ensuring lessons learned are adapted into future communications
        • Tailor key messaging and engagement strategies to distinct audience segments to maintain consistency in tone, quality, and coordination
        • Develop communication materials for the CSO and CAO offices, including internal communications, publications, and content for speaking engagements
        • Apply a scientific and academic lens to all communications to reflect the voices of the CSO and CAO and demonstrate a nuanced understanding of institutional needs
        • Develop new and review CSO and CAO created content generated for staff briefings, FAQs, and key messages on crucial clinical and operational topics
        • Support staff in the Office of the CSO and CAO in maximizing their impact during speaking and communications opportunities by refining presentations, visuals, and content
        • Support the media relations team to coordinate and prepare the CSO, CAO, and relevant team members for public speaking engagements

    Collaboration:

        • Partner with scientific and academic experts to position content to effectively inspire and engage stakeholders with NYULH’s cutting-edge work
        • Foster enthusiasm and awareness of the institution's significant contributions to build a sense of pride among the workforces
        • Coordinate with the Brand Standards and Governance Lead to ensure that all communications adhere to NYULH’s brand standards

    Operational Excellence:

      • Receive and incorporate insights from key metrics and outcomes to gauge the effectiveness of the communications and marketing strategy; adapt strategies based on outcomes
      • Efficiently and effectively execute goals and priorities while adhering to organizational standards for delivering excellent work
         

    Minimum Qualifications:
    To qualify you must have a 5 years of experience in a corporate communications function in a highly regulated industry
    Accomplished writer, editor, and communicator
    Adept at building rapport and exhibiting strong interpersonal skills
    Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to test and learn
    Demonstrated orientation towards client service
    Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or related field

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience working directly with Offices of the CSO and/or CAO
    Experience in healthcare, scientific, or academic domain
    Experience creating thought leadership initiatives

    NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.84 - $127,869.56 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
