Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Chief Admissions Officer typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Take a lead role in the coordination and implementation of the admissions recruiting plan, to include: campus visits and tours for individuals and groups (both on-campus and off-campus), high school visits and presentations, college fairs, business/industry events and other activities designed to recruit students. Play a lead role in the coordination and implementation of special events, including High School Visit Days. Communicate with high school counselors, Work Force Centers, human resource managers and other interested parties to keep them informed of college program offerings, collaborations and partnerships and special events. 2. Play a lead role in the planning and implementation of Riverland career focused open houses and information sessions. Represent Riverland in the planning and implementation of regional career exploration events for middle and high school students, including lining up Riverland faculty, help with lining up business & industry participation, assisting faculty in the development of interactive/hands-on activities to showcase their programs, and communication with middle and high school counselors and administrators. 3. Provide admission advising and information for prospective students and assist in facilitating applicants through the admissions process. Answers questions from prospective students in a variety of forms, including email, Chat, ZOOM, phone and in-person conversations. 4. Per best practices, assist in developing plans to assist in growing enrollment in career programs by converting accepted students to registered students. Work with the Director of Partnerships and Transitions on the development and promotion of partnerships to help grow CTE enrollment and meet the Perkins Grant goals.5. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.NOTE: A detailed job description is available upon request, email aimee.larson@riverland.edu .
