Chief CAT Scan Technologist jobs in Las Cruces, NM

Chief CAT Scan Technologist oversees computer-assisted tomography and the maintenance of department supplies, equipment, and facilities to ensure the quality of services. Introduces and teaches new techniques to staff. Being a Chief CAT Scan Technologist maintains environmental, infection control, and safety procedures for the department. Typically requires an associate's degree. Additionally, Chief CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a director. The Chief CAT Scan Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief CAT Scan Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Completion of course of study resulting in acquisition of ARRT certification and RRT licensure.

    Experience:

    Preferred: One year experience in hospital environment

    Licenses/Certificates:

    Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Radiographic Technologist in the State of New Mexico.

    Required: Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

    Required: BLS certification acquired within 60 days of hire.

    Preferred: Certification in CT
