H.A.L.O. Rescue is seeking a dedicated and responsible team player who LOVES cats to join our Cat Care team!
This role interacts with customers, volunteers and foster families frequently. Primary responsibilities will include the handling of all types/temperaments of cats in the process of "intaking" new cats/kittens to the shelter, administering prescribed medication to cats under veterinary care, as well as cleaning, feeding, and watering the cats being housed in your designated section(s) daily.
Medical responsibilities typically include administering vaccines, oral medications, syringe feeding, SQ fluids and monitoring a variety of health concerns in our cats. This position is also responsible for handling the routine checkups of foster kittens and working with their foster families to ensure the kittens are on the right track.
This position is full-time, with shifts being Sunday (7:00-4:00), Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (7:00 - 5:00) Friday (7:00- 12:00) we are closed from 12:30-1:30 for lunch. Candidates must be able to handle frequent bending/kneeling, as well as lifting up to 50lbs on occasion. The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail, is key to success in this role.
