    ROLE OVERVIEW

    We are seeking a seasoned and driven professional with proven successful experience to take on the role of Chief Development Officer within our team. The Chief Development Officer is responsible for all residential, hospitality and mixed-use land acquisition and development efforts. This involves identifying potential opportunities, financial underwriting, analysis, negotiating terms of buy and sale, overseeing design, entitlements, construction, and procuring projects capital and financing.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the real estate acquisition and development process, from sourcing opportunities to disposition.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers, property owners, and industry professionals to source deals.
    • Evaluate opportunities for acquisition and development across various sectors, including multi-family, hospitality, and mixed-use properties.
    • Conduct strategic asset analysis, including thorough market research and financial evaluations, to identify potential investment opportunities.
    • Oversee due diligence activities.
    • Structure deals and obtain capital and financing.
    • Manage project, site plan approval, budgets, schedules, and performance metrics to achieve target returns.
    • Collaborate with construction personnel throughout design and construction, processes, providing support to ensure successful project completion.
    • Negotiate purchase agreements, leases, and other legal documents.
    • Utilize CRM systems and industry platforms.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and changes.

    Qualifications


    • Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a leading role in mid- to high-rise development.
    • Proficiency in interpreting engineering and architectural plans.
    • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders.
    • Experience with site analysis, selection process, land acquisitions, entitlements and approval as well as development project management.
    • Strong financial acumen and experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and capital structuring and sourcing.
    • Excellent organizational coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills, including planning and managing of multiple projects.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word, and comfortable with data analytics.
    • Ability to create high-quality PowerPoint presentations, manage presentation meetings and investor relationships.
    • Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to productively and effectively work in single and a team environment.
